Wedding Cake

This was a wedding cake I did for an older couple who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. This cake was a two layer cake. The bottom layer was a vanilla cake with guayaba cram cheese filling. The top layer was a vanilla cake bakes with fresh strawberries and the filling was a creamy dulce de leche. It was then frosted with a vanilla butter cream and covered with a vanilla butter cream fondant. The flowers and the petals are all edible, made with fondant as well. I then imprinted the fondant with diamond shapes and placed edible sugar pearls on the corners. Finally I piped squiggly lines around the cake with pink colored frosting. The only thing that was not edible was the C...That was the finishing touch. The cake was a success!
